Asamara is me, Ariel Samara. I am an Interactive Art Director and web presence expert.
What makes me different?
Cohesion! It's the way your ideas become web reality. With a background in print design and experience in all levels of coding, graphic design, marketing and PR, I know how all the bits and pieces synthesize to form your best web presence with style.
Expertise! I began my work as the internet started exploding. My skills have grown with the changing technology so I have always been at the forefront of what's new and what works. Whether you're a web polliwog or internet barracuda, I work with your ideas to make them into a concrete reality.
International Appeal! I have worked with clients all over the globe, spanning three continents. Large corporations and individual clients get the same personal attention from me.
Don't let your site get lost in the web abyss! Take charge of your online presence through Asamara Design.
What is my background? My career started with a typography class in the selective field of graphic design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1996 when the internet was still in its infancy. I began in web design at its inception, earning honors and my B.F.A. in the program as well a grant to study in Kenya and Uganda.
Travel has taken me to India and Central America as I've worked with clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to corporations as large as Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I still participate in my local communities however, having managed marketing and PR for Depart-ment, a craft emporium supporting local artisans in the Chicago area.
It's been said that in the future, it doesn't matter how much you know, but how fast you can learn. I've always preferred versatility in my work, and that makes it easier to see the whole picture. I know how things fit together better than most designers. And if I don't know, I know where to look.
